… PDflex – partial discharges analysis
PDflex is a software tool entirely coded in Matlab R2016b intended for computing a bundle of partial discharges (PD) parameters from the PD pulse waveforms recorded by a digital acquisition system.
This description already implies unconventional measurements of partial discharges or acquisitions in a bandwidth larger than the recommendation given by the standard IEC60270, but still lower than HF/UHF ranges.
The signals of partial discharges are conductive currents in a measuring circuit and not radiated signals recorded by antennas as with the HF/UHF methods.
While in the download section PDflex is available for free download, we strongly request users to read through and accept all of the terms of use in the disclaimer section. The main system developed for unconventional PD measurements comprises an oscilloscope as acquisition unit, a test platform having several electrode systems for the generation of different types of PD sources and the PDflex software tool.
